It'll be mostly sunny this week, but showers are forecast for Monday.

Vancouver may see some precipitation for the first time in nearly a month.

Environment Canada is forecasting a 40 per cent chance of showers Sunday night and Monday morning.

A small system is expected over Metro Vancouver starting around midnight, with showers possible through the early parts of July 17.

However, it's not expected to last long, and sunshine and clear skies are predicted for later on Monday, with a high of 23 C and low of 13 C at night.

And once those clear skies stabilize, they'll be around for several days.

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are all forecast to be similar, with sunny skies, and highs in the mid-20s near the shore. Further inland highs are expected to hit 30 C.

Thursday night, July 20, some clouds are expected to roll in again. No precipitation is expected at this point for the weekend, but Friday and Saturday will both see a mix of sun and cloud. Despite this, highs are still expected to sit in the mid-20s with lows in the mid-teens.
